Who can benignant smile, yet leave no work undone;
By them as very own may all the earth be won.

Thirukkural
Explanation: The world is theirs (kings) who are able to show kindness, without injury to their affairs, (administration of justice). A man from VADUKAPATTI is living as an example for this Couplet.  VADUKAPATTI is a Panchayath in Theni district.  In the 16th century, the Telugu immigrants from the kingdom of Vijayanagar moved into the Tamil country.  The name Vadukkapatti came into existence because there are lots of people from Telugu country called Vadukar (Telugu Caste) lived there. There is also another specialty for this place. The famous Tamil poet Vairamuthu was also born in this place.

Many don't know, there is also another VIP who born in this place and "KAVALAR VOICE" is very proud to reveal him. The Doctor "K. Jayanth Murali, IPS". He is currently working as an additional DGP in Tamilnadu Police and also the current Director of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption. He did MSc., and Ph.D. in Microbiology. His interest in serving the nation from a young age made him to wrote the IPS exam. Through his hard work, he got selected in IPS exam and was appointed as ASP in Tirunelveli district (Tamil Nadu). His sincerity to the work made him a GREAT successor. He got promoted gradually as SP, DIG then IG and now currently designated as ADGP. Next, he is waiting for the DGP post soon.

When seeing him with the majestic Kakki uniform, we would fear that, Is he a strict officer? But, when spoke to him; we realized that he is not only a duty-oriented officer but also a compassionate person filled with humanity.

His father Krishnasamy worked as a Railway officer. So his child life was not in a stable place. He travelled Andhra, Delhi and most parts of North India.  Since he travelled through most parts of India, he is a multilingual with mother tongue as Tamil. He also explains most topics in English beautifully. He traveled all the parts of India and also had chances to visit the foreign nation but he never forgets his own village, VADUKAPATTI.

He believes in the traditional joint family protocol and keeps his aged parents with him. He mentioned that taking care of them adds joy to his life.  He occasionally visits his native village with his parents to worship in Kulathivam temple and also for relatives housing events. Due to his work commitments, he can't able to visit his native place often but as per his parents wish he makes arrangements for them without any hesitation. He has two daughters; both of them are studying in abroad. Like every common dad, he is also more affectionate to them.

He loves to draw paintings. In his room, you can see lots of realistic nature-oriented paintings hanging around the wall. He has planned  to display all his paintings in an exhibition. The money which he is going to get from that exhibition will be distributed to the Orphanage Children's Home. In Chennai, he often visits an Orphanage Children Home and takes care of their needs (includes education).

We are born to die...
Let us live with compassion

- One of the beautiful quotes of Annai Teresa. Jayanth Murali is living according to this quote. By speaking with him we understood that compassion was born with him.

. One day his youngest daughter came and said that she has donated her organs. Jayanth was shocked by hearing this.  At that time, he felt that we've been living in this society for so many years and never had a thought like this. After his daughter told about organ donation, he came forward and donated his organs too. Not only that, but he also promoted organ donation to more than 2000 people in the city. He feels that any awareness should start from his home, so he made his family members to donate their organs and then made the awareness to the people of the society.

Jayanth Murali participated in the half-marathon race in Chennai to insist on the organ donation. He ran and completed the 21 KM in 2 hours 27 minutes by closing the mouth with tape (not breathing by the mouth). This made him to enter in the Asian level record list. Indian Book of Records has also announced him as a record holder. About this marathon, Jayanth Murali said that I didn't participate in this race for keeping my body fit, the main purpose is to promote the organ donation awareness among the people. That is why I ran by giving the organ donation awareness leaflets to the people. Many people don't know that our organs can be used by others after we died. There are a number of people in our country who are waiting for eye and kidney donation. The organs we donate will surely benefit them for sure. Jayant Murali concluded by saying that this is the main reason I'm creating awareness about organ donations.

Similarly, he has participated in the full marathon race with the aim of identifying the disabled sportsmen and also created awareness in plastic barriers. With more than 10 thousand participants, Jayanth Murali also participated in this race. He has to be appreciated by all for participating in all these awareness creating marathon tournaments.

His thoughts are not only in social perspective but he is also evolving as a great policeman. After finishing his IPS training he was appointed as ASP in Tirunelveli district. Tirunelveli is one of the districts where caste conflict is more in Tamil Nadu. In his period, there aroused a caste conflict in Sivagiri area. At that time, the phone facilities are not like now. Trunk Book is the only way to call for the help of additional police.

In such a situation, that area was burning out. Most of the vehicles are burned and been broken. Now, all the things are going in out of the control and to stop this violence, gunfire was carried out.  Some people were killed and after that, the riots came under control. Many villages were saved and hundreds of lives were survived because of the gunfire. At that time, Walter Devaram was the DGP. He came directly to Sivagiri and checked the conditions thoroughly. Finally, he appreciated him for the timely action on this uncontrollable violence.

At that time, some of the higher officials also told that for this action you might get suspension order or cases will be filled in the court. But he mentioned that the praises which I got from DGP Devaram boosted me the courage to meet anything in life.

His majestic look and powerful style is the role model for everyone who is willing to join in the police department. He is a great officer. He is also a guide for me.

Especially for the policemen's, I'm writing Walter Devaram's biography. Everyone should know about his life story. In this biography, you will get know about him from his birth to retirement. Jayanth Murali is still considering him as his GURU.

He is not only writing the biography of Walter Devaram but also writing the biography of the senior IPS officer from Maharashtra 'Julio Ribeiro'. He serves as Mumbai's Commissioner, Director of the Central Reserve Force and also as Gujarat DGP.  When terrorism has emerged in Punjab, he played a major role in suppressing it.  He has got a lot of medals for his services and also honored with Padma Bhusan.

His ideas of writing the biographies of the greatest people in the Indian police department will help future generations to record their histories to come up in life.

He not only worked in the Tamil Nadu Police department but also served in Central Government for some years as the Central Industrial Security Force for the Southern Regions.
After working for the central government for 8 years he returned back to Tamil Nadu.  He is currently working as the Director in the Department of Anti  Corruption and Vigilance.. Jayanth Mural says that the bribe cases against the Government staffs are increasing day by day but because of some laws, filing FIR against them has been delayed. That has to be corrected and then we can try to eradicate bribe completely.

Inspite of working in Tamil Nadu Police department, Jayant Murali is a multi  talented person.  We wish this GREATEST man to continue his work and move forward with more SUCCESS in his life.
